We Welcome Babies and Children at the Luncheon
We will provide a play-mat and box of toys in the back of the room for you and your child to play with during the lectures. A diaper-changing area will also be available onsite. And, as usual, breastfeeding in the room during the sessions is always welcome.

Babies in arms who are easily quieted meld right into all La Leche League meetings and seminars as nursing mothers are very sensitive to their needs for food and comfort. Older babies and toddlers from ages one to three are often more of a challenge. Although they too are comforted with breastfeeding, older babies tend to vocalize sweet baby sounds and toddlers can be both very vocal and very mobile.

In order to provide a quiet atmosphere for the speaker and attendees, please be aware of the happy baby sounds, crying, and toddler noises that can be disturbing to others. When this occurs, please leave the session and tend to your baby or child until your child is calm enough to re-enter with you. Sometimes just a few minutes of walking in the hallway or a change of scene will do wonders to calm a baby or child.

About La Leche League
La Leche League is a non-profit, non-governmental, non-sectarian organization founded in 1956 by seven women who wanted to make breastfeeding easier and more rewarding for both mother and child. Our Mission is to help mothers worldwide to breastfeed through mother-to-mother support, encouragement, information, and education, and to promote a better understanding of breastfeeding as an important element in the healthy development of the baby and mother.
